I don't think Notes is hanging in this use case...

...because the questioner expects to be able to run LotusScript code. It would be a better question to describe the problem that's occurring that makes them want to kill Notes from Notes, and see whether anyone has a less drastic solution. But sometimes I get tired of encouraging people to ask better questions, and just answer the question asked.
